Martin Anthony Barrett

Martin was always such a happy , smiley gentleman. I spent some time caring for Martin, while at his home in Kings Cliffe. He would always greet me with a big smile and a hug, then when it was time for me to go home, he would always walk me right out to my car and watch as I drove away, waving and smiling. We always had such a laugh, lots of giggles, watching TV programmes, dancing in the kitchen, and generally talking about all matter of subjects, all while Martin ate his favourite mini rolls!! We’d often get in my car and take a drive round the corner to the local shop, when Martin seem to know everybody, and everybody knew Martin! Martin never failed to make me smile, laugh and he reminded me of why I became a carer all those years ago. The last time I saw Martin, was the day before he moved to his care home, where he spent the last 6.5 years. Martin, Mr, B. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the laughter. Your contagious smile and laugh will forever be with me. God bless you, now go fly with the angels and dance with the stars. You will be the brightest shining star. Melanie xx
